Lady Jane Grey
Sorry for more photos in my room :[[ One day soon I will get the bravery up to take some from outside of the comfort of my bedroom. Promise. In fact, I'm meeting up with Ashley from Two Eyes In The Mirror and we're hoping to do some photos next week. I can't believe she's from Minnesota and goes to UMD!! Her blog is so amazing!!
Grey is my new favourite neutral. Not as heavy as black or brown, but still as that goes-with-everything awesomeness that I love about neutrals. I first wore this outfit a few weeks ago but didn't get a chance to take any photos so I decided to wear it again. It's perfect for autumn with the tights and cardigan, but I still feel like it's a little fresh and not lumpy and horrible like most winter clothes.
dress- H&M cardigan- ebay belt-primark tights- new look boots- next jewellery- as always
Last night I had my first Intercultural Communications class which I thought, oh god this sounds so stupid, but it was actually quite fun. We go off and have fun and learn about each others' cultures which eating pizza and going bowling and stuff. Last night we just went to a bar/restaurant and "watched" the game. People had cocktails. I had lemonade. Not being able to drink over here really sucks.
I'm really enjoying my courses though. I think, and hope, I'm really going to enjoy journalism. I found my homework really hard though which is really weird cause it was just interview someone and write about them- something I do ALL the time for View magazine. I'm not sure if it was the pressure of doing it at the same time as 25 other students, or knowing it was being judged by a professional to a criteria, I don't know.
I went into the office of the Statesman the other day though, our campus newspaper. Filled in an application form and spoke to the EIC. She asked me what kind of writing I did and her eyes lit up when I said fashion- she's asked me for a 300-350 word article on NYFW as a kind of trial. I'm really excited!!
Today I have class at 11 and then I'm going to the gym and then the mall, yay, and then to the cinema tonight with the international people. I have SO much to do though, it's insane. I'm starting to get a bit homesick now though- it's my dad's birthday today. He opened his present (a framed picture of me and him) on webcam for me last night but it isn't really the same. I'm really starting to miss my friends too.
Sorry this post has been kinda short- I have class in an hour and a half and I'm not even dressed yet!!
I hope you have a lovely day whatever you're doing!!
Drop me a comment :]]]

Grey is the best! My only winter coat is a grey trench. We're all homesick right now, it will pass. You're having an adventure, and I'm sure your family misses you too!
ReplyDeletegorgeous outfit!! i love the leopard cardi and pearls <3 you look amazing!! and lovely photos :)
ReplyDeleteAww, I'd be homesick too if I were you. I forgot to ask: are you only staying for the semester, or all year? Actually, I have many questions for you...maybe I should just wait until we meet up! Which I am VERY excited about also, by the way!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit.
Which bar did you go to? I hate not being able to drink...not like I'm a huge boozer or anything, it just plain sucks being "different" than everyone else. Most of my friends are older than me, and I'm still not 21, so it's not the best of situations.
Oh, and I LOVE your outfit! Great great great. I love leopard print. More than you know!
