IFB Crystals and Crumpets (aka, the best day ever!!)
Warning: Super photo-heavy post!!
So as I mentioned a few days ago, yesterday was the IFB Crystals and Crumpets event, so I went down to London for the event. I was super excited because I was meeting up with my blogging BFF, Sian! We've been blog friends for ages but had never met in real life. We did have a few technical difficulties meeting in the first place, mainly the fact that we were both at different train stations!! It took us to both standing outside two different Burger Kings to realise that we were not in the same place!! Eventually we met up, and Sian found out the hard way that I don't know London as well as I though, or at least, I should never trust google maps on my iPhone!! We got off the tube at Oxford Circus, then my phone decided Piccadilly Circus was nearer, then we realised Oxford Circus had been the right one all along and got back on the tube! We then round the right street for the event, but walked around for ages because we couldn't find it!!
So the event took place at the gorgeous Crystalized Lounge, and can I just say, blogging events are really, really strange. You find yourself in a room full of people who you know, but don't know. You know all about them- their jobs, their boyfriend's names, the insides of their wardrobes. But you don't know them. And you're in a room of girls and you are starstruck by these ordinary people. Ask Sian what a mess I was with nerves wanting to say hi to Carrie from wishwishwish. When I spoke to her, she was lovely!! We also had a lovely chat with Vicki of the Magpie Girl, who both Sian and I love, and Ceri who I used to work for at The Fashion Buzz!! I met so, so many bloggers- it was so cool!! I found out that we all love our pajamas and our days off from blogging though!!
We had glasses of champagne, scones, little sandwiches and cakes before the discussion with Susie Bubble (seriously long-time Girl Next Door readers will know I met her way back when), Shini of Park and Cube, Nadia Sanwar of Frou Frou, YM Ousley of Signature 9 and Mattias Senson of Bloglovin'. The discussion was really interested and focused on a lot of topics I've been interested in lately- advertising, staying true to yourself, not selling out etc. It was really interesting!!
Afterwards Sian and I headed out for some outfit photos, of course...
dress- topshop
leopard booties- charlotte russe
hat- primark
leopard belt- new look
necklace- new look
Sian is as absolutely gorgeous and adorable in real life as she is on her blog- in fact, even more so!! We spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, walking around Oxford Street (I bought the wine-coloured top she is wearing under her dress!!), drinking fizzy drinks in the pub, buying books and having dinner- fish cakes for me, goat's cheese for Sian.
It was such an amazing day- I had the worst come-down ever when I got home. I miss Sian already!! I can't wait to meet up with her again soon and really hope I can attend another blogger meet up asap!! I can't wait to check out all the new blogs I have found and chat to the lovely girls I met!! Bloggers who met me- please comment and say hi!!
Well tomorrow is the big moving day, so I might not get a chance to blog, but I promise I'll be back next week.
Have a great day!!

Sounds lovely! We have a lot of blogger events in Belgium (much easier than in the UK I guess, as there aren't as many bloggers here) but I haven't been invited yet :) Hope to go to one soon!
