Week in Photos

At the start of the week, I thought "oh God, I have absolutely nothing interesting to photograph this week." Turns out, I am addicted to Instagram. I always find things to photograph. Here's what I've been up to this week...

1. Letters from America

My lovely friend Mimi (Hi Mimi!!) has sent me not one, not two,  but FOUR postcards this week, and they're all nicely stuck on my wall. I also received a lovely letter from my friend Laura a few weeks ago, which includes a great drawing of the aerial lift bridge, which you can see on the left. I love being sent things, especially from Minnesota.

2. Christmas boots

I fell in love with these boots this week. They're on my Christmas.

3. Dance society hoodie

I've danced 6 times this week and am utterly exhausted. It's great to get back to it though.

4. Friday's dress

I realised it was too cold to show off this gorgeous dress without a jacket, so here's what it looks like underneath. It's so adorable.

5. References to Minnesota

I absolutely love stumbling over references in my reading.

6. Nails

My housemates and I were talking the other day about the new trend to have your fourth finger painted differently, and then we all set out painting our fourth finger. This was my first attempt with light and dark blue.

7. Christmas list

I have also asked for this gorgeous faux-fur-trimmed cape. Isn't it adorable?

8. Tea break

The "American-style cookie" was a bit of a disappointment

9. Friday night

I love these spotty tights, and I thought I'd go wild with prints by pairing them with my leopard boots. I wore a simple black playsuit to balance the patterns.

10. Smokey eye

I've become obsessed with MAC, especially their brushes. Great for a smokey eye.

11. Frank Turner poster

We went to the O2 Academy on Friday, and I snapped this poster in anticipation of my fifth time seeing Frank in November.

12. 2am Fish and Chips

My housemate Beth wanted some fish and chips when we got home on Friday night, so we walked to the chippie. I stole a lot of chips!! So good at 2am.

13. Flamingo Jumper

One of my friend Briony's friends was wearing the fox version of this jumper and I fell in love with it. How cute is the flamingo print one?

14. Signs you're from Minnesota postcard

I realised you can't read it too well at this size, but some of my favourites are "The weather is usually 80% of your conversation" "You assume when you say "The Cities" people know where you're talking about" and "People from other states love to hear you say words with "o"s in them.

15.  Casual Saturday get up

Did I mention I love my mustard jeans?

16. Nacho lunch

I treated my best friend Steph to lunch on Saturday as it was her birthday last week. We shared these amazing nachos- they were every bit as good, (and cheesy!!), as they look!!

17. Doggy visitor

My friend Briony's Mum and doggy came up to visit yesterday. Her dog, Mally, is the most adorable dog I have ever met in my life. He is so much fun. I wish he could've stayed still long enough for me to take more pictures!!

18. Fourth nail round two

I went for nude pink this time, as I mentioned I loved the combination a few days ago.

19. Leaving work, 4.05am

Last night was a really late night- I got home from work at 4.30am, urgh

20. Ombre nails

Not a great picture, but my thumb is dark pink and each finger is a lighter shade to nude pink on my little finger.

21. The perfect black blazer

Another thing on my Christmas list and I love Zara blazers. I really want my mustard Zara blazer in black, or something similar. I have a lot of blazers but nothing plain and in black.

22. Reading for this week

I have two books a week to read, here's what I'm reading this week. I've started the Turn of the Screw and I'm really enjoying it. It's for my Literature, Sexuality and the Body class and we're discussing Freud's The Uncanny in the text.

23. Rewards in the form of ASOS

Working til 4am and then four hours of the library-I needed a treat. I ordered two gorgeous snoods- one tobacco, one mustard- after seeing the tobacco one on The Stylish Heart.
