"You look very chic today. Very Chanel"
I am so sorry I have been completely MIA the last few days- it's been kinda crazy.I'm having an awesome time on work experience in London. I'm at S magazine, the magazine that comes inside The Sunday Express, working at the fashion desk. It really is my dream job. Yesterday I spent most of the day sending returns back to companies who had sent clothes for shoots and researching watches, which was really cool (I did, however, fall in love with this coat which I was returning) and today I have been out and about. My boss sent me this morning to source material for a photo shoot- I had to get a large and a small gift box to match to boxes already sourced for the shoot, and some ribbon to tie around them. Not as easy a task as you might think! I eventually found the perfect boxes and chose some navy, gold and silver ribbon and my boss loved them! My other fun task today was to help find clothes for a shoot with Caroline Flack next week. I had no idea who she was, but my boss advised me that her style was quite similar to mine and to go to Urban Outfitters and just snap some clothes I thought would work with the theme and setting of the shoot and write down some designer names. Fun!
I haven't managed to snap my outfits so far this week, but I really liked what I wore yesterday. I'll have to wear it again at some point to show you guys. These photos are from last Wednesday. I absolutely love this outfit. I initially wore it with suspender tights, but I wasn't sure if leather shorts and suspender tights was a little OTT for a day at uni, so I swapped for these thick black ones. Be prepared to see them a lot over the next few months. My housemate Briony said I looked "very Chanel" in this outfit, which is always a good thing! Oh and my collar is just this top under the jumper
I'm excited to find out what I'm going to be doing for the rest of the week. Tomorrow I think I'm helping out with shooting some jewellery and Thursday I think I'm going on a proper shoot. I'm a bit gutted because on Thursday I was supposed to be helping out at an event with Motel as a student ambassador, but they've moved it to next week and I won't be in London then! Tomorrow night I'm taking Kayleigh out to Wagamamas for dinner though, as a thank you for letting me stay with her, so that should be nice.
